Programs

Countries/Regions Served: Panama, Latin America and the Caribbean
Duration: Weekly rotations to over 30 communities every week of the year

Materials Needed: Floating Doctors is always in need of consumables to continue serving the over 10,000 square mile region we serve. We encourage each volunteer to contact us regarding our current inventory and wishlist before attending.
Fees: $850 for students, residents and auxiliaries, $1400 for dentists. Includes ,boat transportation to base, 3 meals/day, lodging, boat transportation to each community clinic, and activities
Dates and Locations: ALL WEEKS 52 weeks a year. We serve over 30 indigenous communities almost all only accessible by boat on a rotating 12 week schedule. Some weeks are day clinics returning to base each night, others are multi day clinics where we sleep in hammocks in the indigenous villages' rancho.

Dental consumables, local anaesthetic, tooth brushes/paste and disclosing tablets
Fees: $0-650/week, reductions apply with longer duration of stay, experience, specialty, Spanish ability. There is a possibility to join our team as a staff member/long term volunteer
Dates and Locations:
We run clinics every week except from the middle of December to the end of January. Volunteers are required to work with our dental staff throughout all of these periods.
