Thank you for your interest in applying for the ADA Seal. Please complete the application form below. An ADA contact will email you within 2 business days to let you know if any additional information is needed.

Products eligible to apply for the ADA Seal are those that have been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for market directly to consumers, unless otherwise approved by the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs. Eligible products are over-the-counter oral health products that are used in the prevention and treatment of dental disease. In addition, cosmetic agents may also be eligible for the Seal.

Your application is not complete until all product data is submitted and your submission fee is received by ADA (see fees below). Before submitting, please review the category requirements to ensure your supporting documents meet the eligibility criteria. Applications completed by the end of the month will be evaluated by ADA the following month.

In addition to category claims (such as "Helps prevent cavities"), your company may wish to make elective claims supported by evidence such as your own clinical testing. If your company wishes to include elective claims on packaging or advertisements, the elective claims and supporting evidence must be submitted along with the product’s Seal application and must be approved by the ADA Council of Scientific Affairs.
