Stress can cause changes in those experiencing it. In some cases there are clear signs that people are experiencing stress at work and if these can be identified early, action can be taken before the pressure becomes a problem.
Stress can be good in emergencies, but chronic stress can have unhealthy physical and mental effects on the body. On September 30, 2015, the ADA hosted a free webinar that taught attendees how to identify stress, recognize the physical and mental impacts of stress, and how to manage the negative types of stress.
Mary Jo Graden, LCSW, the webinar’s presenter, has been a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years. Graden provided attendees with new strategies and tools that could be used right away to identify and address stress in their lives. For those who missed the presentation, the webinar was recorded and is now available for you to view.
