Pamela Von Lehmden Promoted to Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Brand Experience

CHICAGO, December 15, 2022 — The American Dental Association (ADA) is pleased to announce that Ms. Pamela Von Lehmden has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Brand Experience. In this new role, Von Lehmden will be overseeing a portfolio of integrated marketing and brand experience functions to accelerate the ADA’s Direct to Dentist (D2D) Customer Group and the overall ADA brand presence focused on delivering member growth, greater awareness, and engagement in ADA member values and value offerings.

“It is with great pleasure that I share Pamela’s advancement to Vice President,” stated Raymond Cohlmia, D.D.S, Executive Director of ADA. “Pamela’s extensive marketing expertise, coupled with her experience in brand innovation and transformational change are what the ADA needs to advance its customer-centric approach to member value.”

Most recently, Von Lehmden served as Senior Director of Integrated Marketing, Brand Strategy, and Innovation providing strategic development and execution of the ADA brand and vision. Additionally, she assumed oversight of the ADA Studios, where under her leadership, her team released the Dental Sound Bites™ Podcast – currently ranking among the top 25% of podcasts globally by Buzzsprout. Other content innovations include the Accelerator Series for women in dentistry and the award-winning campaign “A New Day for Dentistry.”

Prior to joining the ADA, Von Lehmden served in executive leadership roles at Edelman and Ketchum. During her time at Edelman, she served as Executive Vice President of Integration and Client Strategy where she delivered client innovations for the firm’s top 15 clients. At Ketchum, she was the Global Partner and North American Director of Youth Marketing, in addition to leading 40+ person brand marketing practices. Von Lehmden began her career in broadcast journalism as a Fellow at the International Radio and Television Society working at CBS Network News in New York City and with news programs, WPXI-TV in her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Von Lehmden is currently an Adjunct Instructor at North Central College teaching marketing for Social Impact and Design Thinking for Social Impact. She recently received the 2022 Distinguished Contribution Award for Part-Time Faculty.

Von Lehmden holds a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in English and Communications from John Carroll University. She also is certified in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and in Design Thinking from the Illinois Institute of Design in Chicago, Il. Von Lehmden resides in Naperville with her husband and twin 16-year-old daughters.
