Dr. Cody C. Graves Elected as Treasurer of the American Dental Association

CHICAGO, October 23, 2024 — Cody C. Graves, M.B.A, D.D.S, F.A.G.D., a general dentist in Goldthwaite Texas, is the new Treasurer of the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Graves was recently elected at the ADA House of Delegates Meeting at ADA SmileCon™ in New Orleans, La., on Oct. 22.

During his three-year term, Dr. Graves will incorporate his extensive financial background knowledge to his work with the ADA professional team, designing a budgetary process and overseeing the finances of the Association, as well as advising on and communicating financial matters to the Board and House.

Dr. Graves has been an engaged member of the ADA with his involvement in the organization’s various committees and task forces. He served on the ADA Strategic Forecasting Task Force, the ADA Finance Service Task Force and the ADA Task Force on Dental Practice Recovery. Dr. Graves has also served on the ADA Strategic Forecasting Committee and was Co-Chair of the Dentist to Tripartite Subcommittee. He was Chair of the ADA House of Delegates Reference Committee, and a delegate and Vice Chair of Delegation of the 15th District on the ADA Board of Trustees.

Currently, Dr. Graves is Vice Chair of MCBank’s Board of Directors, which he has been serving on for 18 years. Dr. Graves has been involved with numerous other dental organizations including the Texas Dental Association where he served as President and Secretary/Treasurer as well as other committee positions; the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentistry International, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, the Christian Medical and Dental Society and the Independent Bankers Association of Texas. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Graves obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from St. Edward’s University.

Dr. Graves resides in Goldthwaite, Texas with his wife and two daughters where he entered into dental practice with his father Dr. Tom Cody Graves in 2005.
