Climb to new heights at ADA 27th New Dentist Conference in July
Registration is open for the ADA 27th New Dentist Conference, "Climbing to New Heights," at the Four Seasons Hotel in Denver July 18-20.
Go online to ADA.org/newdentistconf to register.
The conference is ideally suited for new dentists, those less than 10 years out of dental school, but also dental students and dental society staff, particularly those societies interested in expanding outreach activities with new dentists.
The ADA New Dentist Committee selected a number of clinical and practice management presentations with the interests of new dentists in mind. Some of the speakers on this year's schedule include:
• Dr. Lee Ann Brady, The Art of Treatment Planning and Case Presentation;
• Dr. Harold Crossley, Medical and Dental Implications of the Most Prescribed Medications;
• Dr. Matthew Young, Predictable Implant Dentistry, Surgical and Prosthetic Phases;
• Dr. Paul Homoly, Making it Easy for Patients to Say Yes;
• Brandon Collier, Practice and Financial Management for the New Dentist.
Leadership development kicks off the conference July 18, which includes small group discussions and Hot Topics in the Round with members of the ADA Board of Trustees and ADA New Dentist Committee, and presentations on concepts in leadership, developing successful new dentist committee programs and social media.
"The full day of leadership programming has been a bigger success than we had imagined," said Dr. Salierno. "New dentists are clearly excited to polish their leadership skills, whether they are at the beginner or advanced level. Now in its fourth year, the leadership day continues to be a highlight for new dentists looking to become better managers, organizers and communicators."
