American Dental Association Hosts "Your Spitting Image" Exhibit through Aug. 31

WHAT:


The American Dental Association invites the public to visit "Your Spitting Image," a traveling exhibit that uses hands-on activities to take visitors on an interactive odyssey through the mouth to learn the science behind saliva. Visitors can step into the role of a disaster recovery team member and learn how to identify victims of a mass disaster. Discover how to identify gender and ethnicity from skull structure, create dental charts and analyze radiographs to make identifications.

Monday through Friday, 8:30am—5pm
Now through Aug. 31

COST:   Free

BACKGROUND:   This traveling exhibit is part of a yearlong celebration of the ADA’s and dentistry’s 150th anniversary. The exhibit is on loan from The Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, located in Baltimore, Md.
