Northern Kentucky Dentist Elected ADA Trustee

CHICAGO, October 23, 2008—William Kendall Rich, D.M.D, who practices general dentistry in private practice with his two sons in Dry Ridge and Walton, KY, was installed as a trustee of the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Rich’s installation took place in San Antonio at the ADA's 149th Annual Session, October 16-21.

Dr. Rich will serve on the ADA Board as the trustee from the Sixth District (representing Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee and West Virginia). The ADA Board formulates and reviews policies and programs and makes recommendations to the members of the ADA's governing body, the House of Delegates. As a member of the Board, Dr. Rich will play a major role in the ADA's organizational objective of being America’s leading advocate for oral health.

Dr. Rich is a past president of the Kentucky Dental Association, served two terms on the ADA Council on Government Affairs and has served on a wide variety of taskforces and subcommittees, including the ADA taskforce on Workforce in 2005 and 2006 and the ADA subcommittee to develop the COHPD in 2006. Dr. Rich was also a taskforce member on the U.S. Surgeon General Report on Oral Health.

A graduate of Louisville Dental School, Dr. Rich received the ADA Presidential Citation in 2006.

Dr. Rich and his wife, Cheryl Ann, are the parents of Adam Kendall Rich, D.M.D.;  Jonathan William Rich, D.M.D.; and Elizabeth Ann Rich.
