Introduction
Each year the Department of
Dental Informatics queries North American software vendors
concerning contact information, pricing and product features.
The questionnaire, based on ADA Technical Report 1004, lists
software features in four separate areas: Clinical, Financial,
Scheduling, and General. This directory incorporates their
responses. If you have questions or comments regarding this directory, please e-mail informatics@ada.org.

To learn more about a particular product, just click on its name.
This will open a page with the vendor's contact information
and details about the product's specifications and costs. For
details about product features, simply click on one of the
buttons -General, Scheduling, Clinical, or Financial - at the
bottom of the page. Another page will open with the vendor's
responses in a checklist format.
The numbers under the General, Scheduling, Clinical and Financial headings represent
the actual number of features supported by a given software
product in that particular area.
On the directory's main page,
you may also select parameters to help focus your search.
User Base filters software products by the number of clientele
using a particular product (not the size of the vendor's entire
clientele). Cost presents all software within a given list price
range; it does not include hardware, support, training, etc.
Preferred Feature selects all software that supports: HIPAA
transactions, Recall /Recare/Continuing Care Scheduling,
Electronic Charting, and Training.
