Advanced Leadership Program:
Strong Leadership through Persuasive Communication
Robin Wright, PhD
Thursday, June 26, 2008
For veteran state and local New Dentist Committee volunteers.
This course will prepare you to present a positive image of your new dentist committees, speak with success on new dentist issues, gain agreement and action on your ideas, and respond successfully to tough questions about organized dentistry.
Through discussion, brief case studies and practice, you will discover how to present messages with persuasive power, including targeting your listeners and presenting the benefits of membership. You will learn how to overcome objections to joining organized dentistry and how to motivate volunteers to participate in specific programs.
In addition, attendees will discuss the most common questions facing new dentist leaders, and receive great answers for these questions. Not a “sit back and listen” seminar, attendees will leave this course with stronger communication skills and be better prepared for leadership positions.
