Great-West name change
Greenwood Village, Colo.—Same trusted company.
Same great services. Just a slightly different name.
Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Co. and its business segment Great-West Retirement Services announced a name change in October.
The company will now be known as Great-West Financial.
While most financial advisors are generally familiar with the Great-West name, research showed the company had less name recognition among customers and end users, according to a company news release.
“We’ve adopted a ‘branded house’ so everything builds on the strength of our Great-West Financial master brand,” said Joe Greene, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Great-West Financial.
“The clarity of having one brand and one voice with a focused and well-positioned message will help build name recognition and lessen potential confusion among customers.”
Great-West Financial administers and underwrites the ADA-sponsored member insurance plans which include the Term Life, Term Plus (Universal Life), Disability Income Protection, Office Overhead Expense and MedCASH Plans.
It has an A+ rating from the ratings service A.M. Best Co., has been in business since 1891 and has insured ADA member dentists since 1934.
