Updated brochures, Toothflix discounts available from ADA Catalog
The ADA Catalog is offering a 15 percent discount until Oct. 31 on all products, including updated brochures and the ADA Toothflix DVD series.
The ADA Catalog has revised many of its patient education brochures and to celebrate is offering a 15 percent on all ADA catalog products with priority code 11174, including three updated periodontal brochures that highlight oral care and feature 3-D graphics that vividly show the progression and treatment of disease.
The ADA’s top-selling brochure, Periodontal Disease: Don’t Wait Until It Hurts (W121), covers the causes and risk factors for periodontal diseases as well as the perio-systemic connection, illustrates the major stages of periodontal disease and outlines the screening process. The brochure also explains scaling and root planing and periodontal surgery while emphasizing prevention.
Periodontal Maintenance: Preserve the Progress You Have Made (W263) spotlights the fact that patients who follow through with periodontal maintenance therapy are more likely to keep their teeth, and reinforces the message that periodontal patients need more frequent visits than other patients. The brochure also addresses post-treatment sensitivity and cautions patients that tobacco can slow healing.
Scaling and Root Planing: Periodontal Therapy Without Surgery (W613) serves both to warn borderline patients of the consequences of periodontal disease and explains treatment to patients already diagnosed with the disease. Graphics include bone loss radiographs and illustrations.
The Toothflix patient education DVD series features in-office scenes, plus 3-D graphics and colorful state-of-the-art animations that explain treatment and stimulate awareness in prevention, cosmetic options and overall health.
Each of the 23 segments is approximately five to nine minutes in length and aligns with existing ADA patient education materials. Topics range from basic oral care and eating habits to periodontal disease, implants and cosmetic dentistry.
Toothflix is great for group presentations, informed consent in treatment rooms and can be used with subtitles on a silent loop running in the reception area. For networked practices, purchase one of the server versions to use in multiple rooms at once.
