Samuel D. Harris Fund for Children’s Dental Health Grants Program
The American Dental Association Foundation (ADAF) is pleased to announce the 2008 Request for Proposals for the Samuel D. Harris Fund for Children’s Dental Health Grants Program. Applications are due no later than July 17, 2008. The Foundation will award competitive grants of up to $5,000 to selected applicants whose oral health programs help children whose socio-economic status adversely impacts their access to professional dental care and their exposure to primary prevention of oral disease.

Congratulations 2007-2008 Scholarship Recipients!
The ADA Foundation is pleased to announce the 80 recipients of its 2007-2008 scholarships and sends appreciation to all students who applied. A total of $155,000 in scholarship funds was awarded. Scholarship recipients and school personnel will be contacted soon via e-mail.
Announcements for 2008-2009 ADA Foundation scholarships will be made this spring and summer. Please frequently check this website for current information.

Thank you to all Education RFP and Harris Fund Applicants
The Foundation sends its appreciation to all organizations that applied for the 2008 Education Request for Proposals for a Dental Sedation and General Anesthesia Emergency Management Course. Applicants will be notified in late March 2008 of the Foundation's action regarding the grantee selection.

This year, 66 projects have been selected for Harris Fund grants out of 260 applications. A total of $300,000 was awarded by the ADA Foundation. Notification will be sent to all grantees via e-mail as of Friday, December 7, 2007. Selected projects received additional information via e-mail. Check our compendium of grantees to determine if your organization received a grant.

The Harris Fund provides grants up to $5,000 to organizations that serve children through preventative oral health education and treatment. Grants are for supplies and materials, and the program is offered annually.
